The Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN) organized a fitness walk on Wednesday in Ikeja, Lagos, as part of activities for the annual Honourable Chief Judge, Justice Kazeem Alogba Games (HCJ's). The event saw participation from magistrates, senior court officials, and other judiciary staff.
Fitness Walk Route
The walk began at the Lagos State High Court premises in Ikeja, proceeded through the Government Reserved Area (GRA), moved toward the PWD Ikeja axis, and concluded back at the High Court complex. Participants, dressed in sportswear, walked in groups under light security supervision, with minimal traffic disruption along the route.
Objectives of the Event
The exercise aimed to promote physical well-being, unity, and camaraderie among court workers. Officials emphasized the importance of maintaining a healthy workforce within the judiciary and noted that such activities provide an informal platform for interaction outside the courtroom.
A banner at the venue indicated that the event also coincided with the birthday celebration of Hon. Justice Kazeem Olanrewaju Alogba. The annual HCJ's Games will continue with indoor and outdoor sporting events at designated centres in Ikeja, with Justice Alogba expected to kick off the novelty match in the evening.
