Delta Governor Celebrates Efetobor Apochi's NABF Cruiserweight Championship Triumph
Delta State Governor Onos Oborevwori has extended heartfelt congratulations to Nigerian boxer Efetobor Apochi for his impressive victory in the NABF Cruiserweight title bout against Cuba's Dariel Duquesne. Efetobor Apochi, widely known as "The Nigerian Pit Bull," secured the NABF Cruiserweight Championship on March 27, 2026, after a hard-fought match at the BiYu Arena in Houston, Texas. Returning to the ring after a 13-month hiatus, Apochi defeated the previously undefeated Cuban boxer Dariel Duquesne via a majority decision, with judges scoring the bout 95-95, 96-94, and 96-94. This victory improved Apochi's professional record to 14 wins and 3 losses, with an impressive 13 of those wins coming by knockout, and he claimed the vacant title in the process.
