Galatasaray have made it clear they will not sell Nigeria striker Victor Osimhen during this transfer window, even after Saudi Pro League club Al-Hilal submitted a verbal offer of €130 million. The Turkish champions communicated their stance through Sky Germany, which reported the offer was made through an intermediary.
Al-Hilal's Renewed Pursuit
Al-Hilal had previously attempted to sign Osimhen last summer but lost out when Galatasaray completed a permanent transfer for the striker. The Saudi club's renewed interest follows the departure of Uruguayan forward Darwin Nunez, who joined Trabzonspor on a season-long loan, creating a gap in their attacking lineup.
The €130 million figure is close to what Galatasaray consider fair value for the Nigerian international, according to the report. Despite this, the club has shown no willingness to enter negotiations at this stage.
European Interest Remains Strong
Osimhen continues to attract attention from major European clubs. Barcelona and Atletico Madrid in Spain, alongside English Premier League sides Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United, have all been linked with the striker in recent months. Legit.ng previously reported that Galatasaray also rejected an offer of about €125 million from a European club this summer.
Galatasaray's focus remains on the start of domestic action. The Turkish Super League season begins on Friday, with the club facing newly promoted Corum FK at Rams Park in Istanbul.
