Nigerian sports administration has received significant international recognition with the re-election of Wahid Enitamn Oshodi as Executive Vice President of the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF).

Prestigious Re-election During Virtual Assembly

The landmark re-election occurred during the continuation of the ITTF yearly general meeting (AGM), which was conducted online on Saturday, November 15, 2025. Oshodi's return to the executive board marks a significant achievement for Nigerian and African sports representation on the global stage.

This victory represents an endorsement of Oshodi's exceptional leadership capabilities, his extensive knowledge of international sports administration, and his consistent dedication to advancing table tennis development across Nigeria, Africa, and worldwide.

Lagos Governor Leads Congratulations

Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu expressed enthusiastic support for Oshodi's achievement through an official statement released by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity. The governor characterized the re-election as clear validation of Oshodi's leadership qualities and the hard work demonstrated during his initial term.

"On behalf of my family, the government, and the people of Lagos State, I rejoice with a worthy citizen of our dear State, Wahid Enitan Oshodi, on his re-election as Executive Vice President of the International Table Tennis Federation," Sanwo-Olu stated.

He further emphasized Oshodi's distinguished track record: "Oshodi has distinguished himself at the state, national, continental, and international levels. His contributions to sports development, particularly table tennis, have been immense, and we are proud of his achievements. Senator Tokunbo Abiru, representing Lagos East Senatorial District, added his voice to the chorus of congratulations, describing Oshodi as both a brother and friend.
