Key players within Nigeria's energy sector have issued a compelling call for the integration and widespread adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI)-driven energy alternatives. This initiative aims to address the country's persistent and multifaceted energy challenges, which have long hindered economic growth and social development.

Advocates argue that AI-powered Distributed Energy Resources (DER) platforms offer a transformative solution. These systems are not only capable of delivering reliable, 24/7 energy but also drive significant social and economic impact by empowering communities and businesses.
Olu Aruike, the Country Director of HUSK Power Nigeria and Vice President of Business Development for West Africa, emphasized this point. His company, which recently won the prestigious 2026 FELAS Technovator award, provides a prime example of such technology in action.
