Abel Yakubu, based in Germany with NexEdge Technologies, led a continuous 60-hour computer programming lesson in Abuja, shattering the previous global benchmark.
Marathon Session Breaks Global Record
The historic event unfolded in the nation's capital from Friday, 21 November, to Sunday, 23 November 2025. Yakubu's non-stop tutorial commenced at 11 a.m. on the Friday and concluded at 11 p.m. on the Sunday, far exceeding the former record of 48 hours and 15 minutes. The entire session was broadcast live across major social media platforms, allowing a global audience to witness the milestone.
This was not a solo endeavor. Yakubu was supported by a team of 30 dedicated participants and closely monitored by 20 independent witnesses throughout the marathon to ensure all guidelines were strictly followed. In total, the lesson engaged 60 students and was observed by over 25 official witnesses.
