Academy Launches RAPID Framework for African Supply Chains

Multimix Academy, in collaboration with the African Centre for Supply Chain, has launched the RAPID supply chain framework to tackle foreign exchange crises and regulatory disruptions affecting African supply chains. The framework was unveiled during the closing ceremony of a three-day supply chain war room boot camp for C-suite executives from major organizations.

Framework Details

Obiora Madu, Director-General of the African Centre for Supply Chain, stated that Africa's supply chain challenges have long been addressed with frameworks from other contexts. The RAPID framework, validated at 99 percent as Africa's first proprietary supply chain governance architecture, is built on five pillars: Resilience Architecture, Agile Response Protocols, Performance Intelligence, Integration Command, and Dynamic Continuity. Its purpose is to design, operate, and continuously strengthen supply chains that create value, withstand disruption, and adapt faster than competitors.

Impact on Nigeria

Madu emphasized the need to build human capacity to close gaps, citing Nigeria's low performance on the World Bank Logistics Performance Index. The framework is expected to boost Nigeria's image and strengthen Africa's competitiveness in logistics services.
