The Hotel Managers Conference Africa (HMCA) has unveiled its 2026 edition, with a focus on human capital development and digital transformation in Africa's hospitality industry. The event is scheduled to take place on July 11 and 12 at the Grand African Ballroom of Lagos Continental Hotel.

Conference Objectives

According to the organisers, HMCA 2026 will bring together hotel owners, managers, investors, service providers, and other stakeholders from across the continent. The conference aims to address critical issues facing the hospitality sector and propose practical, effective solutions.

New Phase for HMCA

Olugbenga Omotayo, Convener of HMCA, described this year's edition as a new beginning for the platform. He stated that after completing an important cycle with its seventh edition last year, the conference is entering a fresh phase. Omotayo emphasised that HMCA was created as a platform for hospitality professionals to exchange ideas, examine industry challenges, and develop practical solutions. He noted that human capital development remains a major concern in the sector, and this year's conference will address that among other issues.
