Mo'Afrique Launches Modish Brand and Garment Factory

Amid growing calls to deepen local production and reduce reliance on imported apparel, fashion house Mo'Afrique has expanded into the mass-market segment with the launch of Modish, a high-volume fashion brand, alongside the commissioning of a high-capacity garment manufacturing facility. Both projects are scheduled for official unveiling on April 26, 2026, marking a strategic shift from a design-focused outfit to an emerging industrial player within Africa's fashion ecosystem.

Strategic Expansion

The expansion is expected to redefine how African fashion is produced and distributed, as Mo'Afrique moves to combine creative design with large-scale manufacturing capabilities. Designed to address a longstanding gap in the market, Modish will deliver premium-quality apparel at scale, targeting corporates and institutions that require consistent, identity-driven garments in large volumes. The initiative responds to increasing demand from organisations seeking structured production systems capable of delivering speed, quality and uniformity.

Modish Formals Debut

Its debut collection, Modish Formals, will focus on corporate wear, blending tailored aesthetics with industrial precision. The company said the line is intended to set a new standard for large-scale garment production without sacrificing style or brand identity. At the centre of the expansion is a purpose-built garment factory equipped to handle high-volume production. The facility will manufacture a range of uniforms, including military and paramilitary apparel, corporate outfits and other institutional garments, positioning Mo'Afrique to meet both public and private sector needs.

Speaking on the development, Chief Executive Officer of Modish Formals, Omobolanle Olawole, said the initiative was driven by evolving market needs. "This expansion is a direct response to market demand. Over the years, our corporate clients have required more than bespoke fashion; they need structured, high-quality garments that reflect their brand identity and can be delivered at scale. Modish is our answer to that need," she said.

As a subsidiary of M3 Group, Modish is positioned to compete in Nigeria's bulk garment industry by integrating design innovation with production efficiency and operational discipline.
