Who Can Use the New Digital Upload Feature
According to France, at this stage, the digital upload option is only open to students who live in countries where visa applications are outsourced and processed online. France-Visas said the requirements for digitisation are detailed on its official platform, and applicants are expected to review these carefully before submitting.
When confirming an application, students must check that every document is clear and has been placed in the correct section of the portal. France-Visas warned that illegible or misplaced files could create problems during processing.
What Happens if Documents Are Not Digitised Correctly
In some countries, if an applicant makes an error during digitisation or fails to upload documents at all, the external service provider may step in to fix or digitise the documents during the appointment. However, this assistance does not come free of charge.
France-Visas noted that this corrective service is billed as part of ancillary service charges, and the amount varies depending on the approved service provider. Applicants are advised to check the relevant fees on the service provider's appointment booking site before going in for their appointment, so they are not caught off guard by unexpected costs.
