MUSWEN Seeks BoI Partnership for Youth, Women Empowerment

The Muslim Ummah of South West Nigeria (MUSWEN) has called for a strategic partnership with the Bank of Industry (BoI) to empower youth and women in the Southwest region. The collaboration would focus on key sectors including agriculture, information and communication technology (ICT), education, and health.

Delegation Visits BoI Office

MUSWEN’s President, Alhaji Rasaki Oladejo, made the appeal during a delegation visit to the Lagos Office of BoI. He commended the dedication of the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of BoI, Dr. Olasupo Olusi, who received the delegation. Alhaji Oladejo specifically requested counterpart funding arrangements and collaborative financing models to address the funding gaps faced by entrepreneurs and small businesses within the MUSWEN network.

Bank’s Response

In response, Dr. Olusi expressed appreciation for MUSWEN’s initiatives and vision. He declared the Bank’s readiness to partner with the organization in areas of mutual interest, signaling a potential boost for economic empowerment in the region.

The delegation also included Deputy President I, Alhaji Rafiu Adisa Ebiti; Deputy President II, Alhaji Wale Sonaike; Executive Secretary, Prof. Wole Abbas; Chairman of the Economic Empowerment Committee, Alhaji Lere Alimi; and Director of Finance and Administration, Alhaji Abdul-Wakeel Olaniyi.
