The Rental Professionals Society of Nigeria (RPSN), through its President and Chief Executive of Jason Davids Rentals and Events Limited, Taiwo Oderinlo, has called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to assist members in reducing the costs of importing rental equipment.
Addressing Importation Challenges
Speaking with journalists ahead of the forthcoming Rental Expo 3.0 in Lagos, Oderinlo noted that while acquiring equipment from China is not expensive, bringing them into Nigeria poses significant difficulties. She stated, 'The cost of shipping and clearance are too expensive. We need the backing of government in policy making. The money that RPSN generates for the economy is enormous.'
Rental Expo 3.0 Theme and Activities
Oderinlo disclosed that the theme of this year's conference is 'Legacy, Luxury & Longevity,' carefully chosen to reflect the aspirations and realities of the industry. The celebration will culminate in the Ojude RPSN, the Grand Ethnic Dinner and Awards Night, inspired by the grandeur, elegance, and cultural pride of the renowned Ojude Oba Festival. She described Ojude RPSN as more than a dinner; it is a celebration of excellence.
RPSN Achievements
Regarding RPSN achievements, Oderinlo highlighted the association's successful China Trade Mission 2026, calling it a historic mission that represents a major turning point for the association and industry.
