Apostle Chibuzor Provides Heartwarming Update on Deborah Samuel's Family Journey

Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere, the founder of Omega Power Ministries (OPM), has shared a significant update regarding the family of the late Deborah Samuel, a Nigerian Christian student tragically killed in Sokoto in 2022. The cleric detailed the family's remarkable transformation from a state of need to one of generosity, highlighting his ongoing support and their newfound ability to give back to others.

From Tragedy to Transformation: The Family's New Life

Deborah Samuel Yakubu was a second-year college student who was stoned to death by a mob of Muslim students in Sokoto on May 12, 2022, following accusations of blasphemy. In response to this devastating event, Apostle Chibuzor took action by relocating the entire family to Port Harcourt, providing them with a fresh start away from the trauma.

Through a series of supportive measures, the family has been empowered to rebuild their lives. Apostle Chibuzor enrolled all of Deborah's siblings into OPM Free Schools, ensuring they receive quality education. He also constructed a mini-estate consisting of 14 flats for the family, where they currently reside and generate income by renting out some units.

Economic Empowerment and Generous Acts

To foster financial independence, Apostle Chibuzor opened a restaurant for Deborah's mother and provided her father with a car for a commercial taxi business. Additionally, one of Deborah's brothers has been employed in one of the church's factories, securing stable employment. Recently, Deborah's mother visited Apostle Chibuzor's home with bags of foodstuffs to support the children under his care, symbolizing their shift from recipients to givers.

In a Facebook post, Apostle Chibuzor expressed awe at this transformation, stating, "Only God Almighty can turn the needy into a giver." He emphasized the visible changes in the mother's well-being and the family's overall progress, attributing it to divine intervention and community support.

Social Media Reactions and Broader Context

The update has sparked positive reactions on social media, with users praising Apostle Chibuzor's humanitarian efforts. Comments include admiration for his focus on helping others rather than personal luxuries, such as one user noting, "Other pastors use their money to buy private jets, but you choose humanity." This response underscores the impact of his actions within the Nigerian community.

This story comes amid other news involving Apostle Chibuzor, including addressing backlash related to his son's wedding and his efforts to support marginalized individuals, such as helping an aged couple settle their bride price. These initiatives reflect his broader commitment to social welfare and empowerment through Omega Power Ministries.

The ongoing support for Deborah Samuel's family serves as a poignant example of resilience and compassion in the face of tragedy, highlighting how targeted assistance can lead to sustainable change and inspire others to contribute to societal good.
