ULS Launches New Jolly Phonics Materials to Boost Literacy in Nigeria
ULS Unveils New Jolly Phonics Materials for Nigerian Literacy

Universal Learning Solutions (ULS) has launched a new range of high-quality Jolly Phonics learning materials aimed at improving early reading development in Nigeria. The unveiling took place at the Nigerian International Book Fair 2026, held in Lagos from May 13 to 15, drawing educators, publishers, school owners, and literacy stakeholders who examined the resources and their potential impact on literacy.

Building on Widespread Adoption

The initiative builds on the successful adoption of Jolly Phonics in public schools over the past decade, achieved through partnerships with State Universal Basic Education Boards (SUBEBs) and the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC). The new materials are designed to make globally recognized literacy resources more accessible to both public and private schools as demand for effective reading solutions grows.

CEO Comments

Gary Foxcroft, Chief Executive Officer of Universal Learning Solutions, expressed excitement about bringing these materials to the Nigerian market. “We are excited to bring these high quality materials to the Nigerian market at a time when demand for effective literacy solutions has never been greater,” he said. He added that the success of Jolly Phonics in government schools has demonstrated its transformative impact on children's reading outcomes, and ULS aims to make these resources even more accessible to schools and families across Nigeria.
