Erommaose Nwokoro Foundation Empowers Youths at Third Graduation Ceremony in Agbor
In a significant move to foster youth empowerment and sustainable development, the Erommaose Nwokoro Foundation successfully conducted its third annual graduation ceremony in Agbor, Delta State. This event served as a beacon of hope and opportunity for young individuals across the community, emphasizing entrepreneurship as a critical pathway to economic freedom, self-reliance, and national progress.

The convener of the initiative, Amb. Dr. Bernardette Eromma Nwokoro, reaffirmed her dedication to creating lasting social impact. Through structured skill acquisition and empowerment programs, the foundation continues to transform the lives of youths in the region, moving beyond traditional charity to promote self-sufficiency and economic independence.
Engaging Entrepreneurial Session
The ceremony featured an engaging entrepreneurial session moderated by Dr. Anthony Nnamudi, with a panel of experts including Hon. Dr Donald Peterson, Dr Jude Igborgbor, Dr Ngozi Mordi, Dr Solomon Egbule, and Dr Friday Memeh. Panelists provided practical insights into real-world challenges such as access to funding, market dynamics, resilience, and business scalability, urging Nigerian youths to reposition themselves in response to the country's economic realities by embracing innovation, adaptability, and skill development.
Vocational Training and Support
The foundation's training programs cover a wide range of vocational skills, including hair styling, dressmaking, cake making, decoration, gele tying, and beauty services. Participants receive hands-on training designed to equip them with income-generating capabilities. Additionally, beneficiaries are provided with starter packs and seed capital to help establish their businesses, ensuring a tangible pathway to entrepreneurship.
Post-Training Mentorship
Dr. Nwokoro highlighted the foundation's philosophy of going beyond mere training by maintaining a robust post-training support system. This includes mentorship and progress tracking for graduates, many of whom have successfully built ventures, underscoring the effectiveness of the foundation's holistic approach to youth development.
Keynote Address and Community Involvement
The event was attended by the Eka Dein Menim of Agbor Kingdom, Chief Wilson Oni Agbobu, adding cultural significance to the occasion. Chairman of the event, Hon. Peterson, delivered a speech on Entrepreneurial Opportunities, Challenges and Growth in Ika Nation, stressing the importance of strategic partnerships in advancing youth development and fostering community resilience.
