JAMB Announces Release of 2026 UTME Mock Examination Results

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially released the results for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) Mock test. This nationwide examination was conducted on Saturday, March 28, 2026, as part of the board's preparatory measures for the main UTME.

How to Check Your Mock Results

In a statement issued from its Abuja headquarters on March 31, JAMB provided clear instructions for candidates to access their results. Participants can check their scores by sending an SMS with the keyword MOCKRESULT to either 55019 or 66019. It is crucial to use the same phone number that was registered during the 2026 UTME application process to ensure successful retrieval of results.

Participation Statistics and Examination Details

According to the board, a total of 224,597 candidates registered for the mock examination. Out of this number, 152,586 candidates successfully sat for the test, demonstrating a significant turnout. The examination was administered across 989 Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres spread throughout the country, ensuring widespread accessibility for candidates.

Post-Examination Reviews and Centre Delisting

JAMB disclosed that following thorough post-examination reviews, over 20 CBT centres were delisted due to identified technical challenges and inadequacies. This action underscores the board's commitment to maintaining high standards and addressing any issues that could compromise the integrity of the examination process.

Warning Against Fraud and Malpractice

The board issued a stern warning to candidates to remain vigilant against fraudsters and unscrupulous individuals who may claim to offer score upgrades or special assistance. JAMB emphasized that such claims are false and criminal, and any candidate found engaging in malpractice risks severe penalties, including cancellation of registration, withholding of results, or withdrawal of results. This move aims to protect the credibility of the examination system.

Reminder for Main 2026 UTME Schedule

Candidates were also reminded that the main 2026 UTME is scheduled to commence on Thursday, April 16, 2026. This serves as a timely notice for all participants to prepare adequately for the upcoming examination, which is critical for tertiary education admissions in Nigeria.

Official Statement and Commitment to Integrity

The statement was signed by JAMB's spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, who reiterated the board's unwavering commitment to maintaining examination integrity. This announcement reinforces JAMB's dedication to transparency and fairness in all its processes, ensuring a level playing field for all candidates.
