JAMB Releases 2026 UTME Original Result Slips for Printing
JAMB Releases 2026 UTME Original Result Slips

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that candidates who sat for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) can begin printing their original result slips from Wednesday, 17 June 2026. This was disclosed in a statement by JAMB's spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin.

Details of the Original Result Slip

According to JAMB, the original result slip contains candidates' photographs, national rankings, and other security features required for admission processing by tertiary institutions. The document is an official requirement for post-UTME screening and admission consideration by universities and polytechnics.

Advice to Candidates

JAMB advised candidates to carefully verify the information on their result slips immediately after printing and retain copies for future admission-related purposes. The release of the result slips is expected to facilitate post-UTME registration and other admission processes for the 2026/2027 academic session.

Admission Timeline

During the annual policy meeting in May, JAMB and heads of tertiary institutions agreed on timelines to conclude the 2026/2027 admission exercise. Public universities must conclude admissions by 31 October, private universities by 30 November, and other tertiary institutions by 31 December. JAMB warned that institutions failing to meet these deadlines would lose access to candidates on the Central Admission Processing System (CAPS).

The board also announced a four-week grace period for candidates to accept or reject admission offers. Any admission not accepted within this timeframe will be deleted upon the institution's request.
