This modern facility, located in Egbe, Yagba West Local Council of Kogi State, was inaugurated on Thursday, April 16, 2026, and is set to host candidates for the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examinations.

Facility Details and Infrastructure

The newly opened centre is a 288-seater digital learning and testing hub designed to facilitate local JAMB and other computer-based exams. It boasts advanced features including a dedicated server room, CCTV cameras for security, secure perimeter fencing, an improved water supply system, high-speed internet connectivity, solar power backup, and 288 laptops. From Wednesday, April 15, approximately 1,000 JAMB candidates from various locations began arriving in Egbe for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), scheduled from April 16 to April 18, 2026.

Funding and Partnership

Senator Sunday Karimi, representing Kogi West and an alumnus of Titcombe College, financed the project in partnership with TCEOSA. The centre aims to enhance academic excellence and support educational institutions in the region. In a supportive gesture, Senator Karimi also donated 100 litres of diesel to power the generator at the centre, ensuring uninterrupted electricity during the examination period.
