Nigeria's leading airline, Air Peace, has demonstrated significant commitment to educational development through a substantial donation to the KNOSK 100 Naira A-Day School in Kuje, Abuja. The corporate social responsibility initiative saw the airline provide both financial support and technological resources to enhance learning opportunities for underprivileged students.
Substantial Educational Support Package
Air Peace donated N10 million to sponsor 20 students for a complete academic year while also supplying 13 brand new laptops to strengthen the school's Information Communication Technology capabilities. The donation ceremony took place during the weekend of November 24, 2025, with the airline's Chairman, Dr. Allen Onyema, leading the delegation to the school premises in Kuje, Abuja.
Represented by the organization's Communications Analyst, Hawau Alege, Dr. Onyema emphasized that the gesture aimed specifically at supporting vulnerable children and equipping the next generation with essential tools for academic and technological success. He highlighted education as one of the most powerful catalysts for national development and reaffirmed the airline's dedication to investing in initiatives that uplift underserved communities across Nigeria.
Commendation for Innovative Education Model
The Air Peace Chairman expressed particular admiration for the school's unique N100-per-day educational model, describing it as a practical solution for keeping disadvantaged children in the classroom. He strongly urged other corporate organizations and philanthropic Nigerians to support this initiative, stressing that collective effort remains crucial for expanding access to quality education throughout the country.
"Air Peace is glad and pleased to support a place like the KNOSK 100 Naira A Day School, where determination, hope, and hard work are persistent," Dr. Onyema stated during the presentation ceremony.
Transformative Impact on Students and School Operations
The KNOSK charity-based education model provides access to quality secondary education for just ₦100 daily. Students benefit from six years of comprehensive secondary school education, receiving books, uniforms, lunch, sanitary pads, and computer-based learning all covered by the minimal daily fee. The school operates with partner sponsorships costing N80,000 per term or N240,000 annually per child.
With Air Peace sponsoring 20 children at N240,000 per year each, these students are guaranteed uninterrupted education throughout the entire academic year. The sponsorship significantly reduces the financial burden on parents while helping the school maintain consistent teacher salaries and operational stability.
Kingsley Bangwell, Co-Founder of KNOSK School, elaborated on the profound impact of the donation, noting that the laptop provision will dramatically boost digital learning capabilities and minimize the challenges students previously faced due to limited computer access. He expressed deep appreciation for Dr. Onyema's compassion, generosity, and unwavering commitment to education as a fundamental driver of both human potential and national development.
The partnership between Air Peace and KNOSK represents a powerful example of corporate Nigeria's potential to transform educational accessibility and technological empowerment for the nation's most vulnerable youth populations.
