UNILAG Arts Student Posts Post-UTME Score of 18.75/30

An arts student who participated in the University of Lagos (UNILAG) post-UTME examination has shared his disappointing experience on social media. The student, who applied to study Law, detailed his journey from preparing for JAMB to receiving his post-UTME results.

Preparation for JAMB

In his post, the student mentioned that he prepared intensely for the JAMB examination, staying focused and studying day and night. He attended lessons and put in significant effort, which resulted in a JAMB score of 248. He chose UNILAG as his first choice, knowing the high standards required.

Post-UTME Experience

However, the student admitted that he did not apply the same level of effort to the UNILAG post-UTME exam. When the results were released, he scored 18.75 out of 30. The aggregate score did not meet the required cut-off for Law at UNILAG. Consequently, he decided to change his institution and course to continue his admission process.

The student shared his score publicly, expressing regret for not preparing as diligently for the post-UTME as he did for JAMB. He stated, "That is how the dream to study Law began to fade. I applied for UNILAG post-UTME, but to be honest, I didn't put in the same effort I gave in JAMB. When the result came out, I scored 18.75/30. The whole aggregate didn't meet the potential. I just had to change institution and course."
