History of UNIZIK College of Postgraduate Studies

The College of Postgraduate Studies at Nnamdi Azikiwe University traces its origins to the 1981/82 academic year of the defunct Anambra State University of Technology (ASUTECH). Following the creation of Anambra State in 1991, the Awka and Nnewi campuses of ASUTECH were reconstituted into Nnamdi Azikiwe University under Anambra State Edict No. 5 of 1991. The postgraduate programmes from these campuses formed the Nnamdi Azikiwe University School of Postgraduate Studies, which later evolved into the current College of Postgraduate Studies.
