French singer, actress, and dancer Guesch Patti, born Patricia Porrasse, has died at the age of 80 after a prolonged illness. Her representative, Sébastien d'Assigny, confirmed the news in a statement to AFP, saying she passed away in Paris on the night of June 21-22, 2026.

Patti became a household name across Europe following the release of her 1987 single Étienne, which sold approximately 1.5 million copies worldwide. The song's success catapulted her into the international spotlight and remains her most recognized work.
In his statement, d'Assigny wrote: 'Guesch Patti, dancer, singer, actress, left us in the night of June 21-22, 2026, in Paris, following a long illness. She leaves behind, to all the audiences who were able to see her on stage, the memory of a woman full of life in her artistic expression.'
