The All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA), in collaboration with the African Union Commission (AUC), will host The Diamond Party and Prize Presentation on June 3 at Voyage Lagos, Nigeria. This event is part of AFRIMA's ongoing commitment to sustainable talent development and the long-term growth of Africa's creative and cultural industries.
According to a statement from AFRIMA, the event will celebrate seven outstanding emerging African artists: Ellacentric, Black Astro, Yamayeh Vibez, Mayowa Afolabi, DELLFIRE, El Nayaan, and Blinkz Baba. Collectively known as The AFRIMA Diamonds, these artists were discovered through the AFRIMA Talent Discovery and Promotion Initiative.
The Diamond Party marks the culmination of a year-long talent discovery and development process that attracted entries from emerging artists across the continent. Following a rigorous selection process by AFRIMA's International Jury, seven exceptional talents were chosen and later performed at the AFRIMA Music Village during the 9th AFRIMA Awards in Lagos, Nigeria. Their performances introduced them to an audience of over 10,000 music fans at the venue and reached millions more through global broadcast networks and digital streaming platforms across Africa and the diaspora.
Marwane Fachane, a member of AFRIMA's International Jury representing Northern Africa, emphasized that AFRIMA's developmental focus extends beyond celebrating established stars. He highlighted the organization's dedication to building sustainable pathways for emerging African creatives.
