Actress BamBam has spoken out after her phone was stolen during the Service of Songs held in honor of actor Alexx Ekubo. The event took place in Lagos State and was attended by numerous guests, including fellow actors and actresses.
Discovery of the Theft
Shortly after the solemn service concluded, BamBam got into her car and realized her phone was missing. She initially thought it was with her personal assistant but later discovered it had been stolen during the service. BamBam mentioned that five other individuals, including a brother of the late Alexx Ekubo, also had their phones stolen.
Emotional Reaction
“First thing that hit me was compassion. I was sad first because my contacts, my videos… my phone had everything and I hadn’t even updated my iCloud so a lot of my pictures and videos are not backed up. What would make any human being consider a service of songs a place to rob? It wasn’t just my phone that was stolen. My friend, I think one of Alexx’s brother’s phones was taken? and another guy… Three of us were looking for our phones last night,” she said.
Defending Her PA
BamBam asked people to stop dragging her personal assistant, who many thought might have stolen the phone after a video surfaced online showing the PA removing the phone from her bag. BamBam clarified that the phone was stolen after the event, while the trending video of her PA removing the said phone from her bag was recorded as they were about to enter the venue.
