VDM and Mr Jollof Arrested After Mid-Flight Brawl on Nigerian Airline
Celebrities Arrested After Plane Fight in Delta

Two Nigerian social media personalities have found themselves in serious legal trouble following a physical confrontation aboard a commercial flight from Asaba to Lagos. The incident, which occurred on the morning of November 17, 2025, led to the arrest of both individuals.

Celebrity Altercation Forces Flight Disruption

Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, and comedian Freedom Atsepoyi, alias Mr Jollof, were traveling on a United Nigerian Airline flight from Asaba International Airport in Delta State when their longstanding online feud turned physical. A viral video captured the moment the two public figures exchanged blows while the aircraft was preparing for departure.

The situation escalated quickly, prompting airline staff and security personnel to intervene. Both celebrities were subsequently removed from the aircraft in what aviation officials term as "unboarding" - a security procedure when passengers pose a risk to flight safety.

Government Official Expresses Disappointment

Ossai Success, senior special assistant on media to Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, confirmed the incident through his official Facebook page. The governor's aide did not mince words in expressing his disappointment with the celebrities' behavior.

"I saw VeryDarkMan collecting beating from Mr Jollof this morning at the Asaba International Airport," Success wrote. "They have been unboarded and arrested. I am really disappointed in both of them for fighting inside an aircraft when they should have done that on the roadside."

The government official specifically called out VeryDarkMan's conduct, noting that the social media critic "nor get mind and e get talk carelessly" in what appeared to be a reference to the individual's reckless behavior.

Online History Boils Over Into Physical Confrontation

This physical altercation didn't emerge from nowhere. VeryDarkMan and Mr Jollof had been engaged in heated online exchanges prior to their unfortunate encounter at 35,000 feet. The conflict intensified when the social media critic dragged the comedian's wife into their drama, making serious allegations that apparently crossed personal boundaries.

Public reaction to the incident has been mixed, with social media users divided in their support. Some commentators noted that VeryDarkMan appeared to be getting the upper hand in the physical exchange, while others criticized Mr Jollof's fighting technique, with one user joking that he "Dey throw blow like Barbie."

The incident has raised serious questions about celebrity behavior and aviation security in Nigeria. Fighting aboard an aircraft constitutes a federal offense that can result in severe penalties, including fines and imprisonment. Both celebrities now face potential criminal charges that could impact their careers and public standing.
