A spiritual leader from Ekiti State, Prophet Muyiwa Akogun, has publicly issued a stern warning to popular Nollywood actress, Lizzy Anjorin. This dramatic development follows the actress's reaction to a prophecy the cleric made concerning content creator Habeeb Hamzat, popularly known as Peller, prior to his recent accident.
The Prophecy and the Backlash
Prophet Akogun had earlier shared a vision he claimed was from God, warning about an impending accident involving Habeeb Hamzat. The cleric stated that he not only foresaw the crash but also sent messages to Hamzat's family, urging them to speak with him to avert the danger. The young content creator was later involved in a serious accident where he reportedly attempted to take his own life.
When a video of this prophecy circulated online, Lizzy Anjorin reacted dismissively. She described Prophet Akogun as a "Gistlover prophet" and claimed he had been exposed by another individual. The actress promised to speak further on the matter, a move that has now drawn a direct and symbolic response from the cleric.
Prophet Akogun's Symbolic Response and Warning
In a video message directed at Lizzy Anjorin, Prophet Akogun responded with strong words and symbolic actions. He was seen holding a baby wrapper, explaining that while there are many types, the one he held "came from heaven." He advised the actress to consult with elders in her family to understand the deeper meaning of his actions and words.
The cleric, speaking in English, cautioned Anjorin not to step on an elder's cloth lest she walks unclad in public. He emphasized the gravity of disrespecting spiritual authority. To underscore his spiritual journey, Akogun revealed that he spent 40 days in the bush without food or water before his ministry attained its current level.
He further referenced the biblical story of the youths who mocked the prophet Elijah, advising Anjorin to ask children about what happened to them. Prophet Akogun made a clear distinction between a prophet sent by God and one driven by personal desires, and he urged the actress's fans to caution her over her constant and controversial utterances online.
Public Reaction and Past Controversies
The video from Prophet Akogun has sparked significant reactions from fans and social media users. Many comments supported the cleric, with some even encouraging him to take action against Lizzy Anjorin for her history of cursing people online.
User @hafolabidare commented, "Nothing to happen!! Life no be Nollywood !! Make una dey make una online money." Another, @iyawo_iree, reacted, "Lizzy Anjorin eventually cross her line/ boundary. Hmmm." User @ajork_eh shared a more direct sentiment: "All of you should gather together and deal with her please."
This incident is not the first time Lizzy Anjorin has been publicly cautioned. A few weeks prior, her colleague, actress Dayo Amusa, warned her over a video she made directed at Amusa's son. Amusa clarified that she did not attack Anjorin and revealed that when Anjorin later expressed a desire to visit her son, the request was declined.
Furthermore, Lizzy Anjorin has recently been in another online dispute, resuming her criticism of fellow actress Iyabo Ojo. Anjorin accused Ojo of using lies to destroy people and gain sympathy for donations, sharing an old video as purported evidence.
