Diddy's Desperate Call to Lawyer Revealed in New Netflix Doc Teaser
Diddy's Desperate Call in Netflix Doc Teaser

A newly released teaser for an upcoming Netflix documentary has exposed a moment of high tension for music mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs. The footage shows him making a desperate phone call to his legal team just days before he was taken into custody by authorities.

The Panicked Phone Call in Manhattan

The dramatic clip was filmed on September 10, 2024, inside the Park Hyatt hotel in Manhattan. In the video, Combs is heard telling his lawyers, "We have to find somebody that’ll work with us that has dealt in the dirtiest of dirty business… We’re losing." This revealing moment was reported by the Daily Mail and is part of the four-part docuseries titled Sean Combs: The Reckoning.

50 Cent's Role and the Documentary's Purpose

The documentary is produced by rapper and entrepreneur Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson, who managed to obtain these never-before-seen clips. Speaking on Good Morning America, 50 Cent addressed his long-standing issues with Combs. He clarified that their conflict stemmed from what he saw as "tester" behaviour during uncomfortable encounters, not a personal feud.

50 Cent has stated that all proceeds from this project will be directed to victims of sexual assault and rape. He also revealed that some captured moments show Combs apparently "forgetting he was on camera," adding to the documentary's raw and unfiltered nature.

Combs' Current Status and Ongoing Legal Battles

Sean Combs is currently serving a 50-month sentence at the low-security Fort Dix Federal Correctional Institution. This follows his conviction on two counts related to the Mann Act.

The docuseries features interviews with two jurors from his federal trial. One juror described the relationship between Combs and his former partner, Cassandra "Cassie" Fine, as "two people in love." Another juror pointed out that domestic violence was not among the charges they were asked to consider during the trial.

Combs' public position changed significantly after CNN released a 2016 video showing him assaulting Cassie in a hotel hallway. Cassie later filed a lawsuit accusing him of rape, abuse, and sex trafficking. That lawsuit was settled over a year ago.

Despite this, Combs still faces more than 50 civil lawsuits from multiple accusers. He has denied all allegations made against him in these cases.

The teaser also shows another scene where Combs is greeting supporters in Harlem. He is then seen requesting hand sanitizer inside his SUV, remarking that he had hugged "about 150 people."

The full docuseries, Sean Combs: The Reckoning, is set to premiere on Netflix this Tuesday, promising an in-depth look at the fall of the once-untouchable music icon.
