Rapper Future has requested a court to hold his ex-girlfriend Brittni Mealy in contempt, escalating an ongoing legal battle between the former couple.
Allegations of Leaking Information
According to court documents, the rapper is seeking sanctions against Mealy, claiming she violated court orders by leaking information about him to the media. While parts of the motion are redacted, the allegations appear to relate to earlier accusations that details of their legal dispute were made public.
Background of the Dispute
The conflict stems from a lawsuit filed by Mealy, who alleged that Future failed to secure a $500,000 life insurance policy intended to benefit their 13-year-old son, Prince. Future has denied these allegations.
In the latest filing, Future is asking the court to find Mealy in both civil and criminal contempt and to order her to pay his legal fees.
Mealy had previously claimed that Future had not seen their son for over a year and included emails from his team suggesting they believed she was responsible for leaking case details. She has denied those claims.
The case remains ongoing as both parties continue to challenge each other’s allegations in court.
