A German couple has turned to social media in an emotional search for Jamal, a young man who was deported to Africa with his family many years ago. The wife, using the faceless TikTok handle @kbr.75, posted childhood pictures of Jamal alongside her husband, revealing that Jamal was her husband's best friend during their early years in Germany.
Details of the Search
According to the TikTok post dated May 22, Jamal attended the Catholic kindergarten in Abtsgmünd, Germany, with the husband around 2001/2002. However, approximately two years later, Jamal and his family were deported to Africa, and all contact was lost. The couple believes Jamal is now between 28 and 29 years old and likely has siblings.
Nighttime Deportation and Separation
@kbr.75 further explained that Jamal and his family were taken during the night and separated into different camps somewhere in Africa, though the exact country remains unknown. The husband has never forgotten his friend and hopes to reunite with him. The TikTok post appealed to the public for assistance in locating Jamal.
The post gained significant attention, amassing over 627,000 views, 58,700 likes, and thousands of comments. Many users expressed support and shared similar stories of successful reunions.

Social media users reacted with empathy and encouragement. One user, Shouaib, commented, "I once searched for my friend like this and it actually worked. I pray you find him." Another user, Green-Black Olive, suggested contacting the former school for help. Shane praised the use of social media for such purposes, while Natasha Love from Uganda sent prayers for a reunion.
