Kim Kardashian Breaks Down Over Kanye West's 2016 Paris Robbery Accusation
Kim Kardashian Emotional Over Kanye's Robbery Claim

Reality TV star Kim Kardashian was overcome with emotion during the latest episode of her family's show, The Kardashians, as she addressed a painful accusation from her former husband. The 45-year-old revealed that Kanye West had claimed she staged the terrifying armed robbery she endured in Paris back in 2016.

A Painful Accusation from a Former Partner

Kim Kardashian opened up about the deep hurt caused by the allegation from someone once so close to her. Her voice broke as she recounted the moment. "Even my ex-husband had said, 'And you faked your robbery for a TV show,'" she shared. The star expressed how devastating it was to not be believed by a person who knew her intimately.

"Just to think that someone who’s so close to you wouldn’t believe you… that should know how much that affected your life… it just really bothered me," Kim stated. She added firmly, "You don’t know who I am." Hearing the claim in front of others felt, in her words, like "a knife to my heart."

Revisiting the 2016 Paris Nightmare

The Hulu episode revisited the shocking ordeal with archival footage, showing the moments masked robbers held Kim at gunpoint and tied her up. She reflected on the lasting impact of the trauma, admitting, "In 2016, my life changed forever."

Flashbacks detailed how Kim was alone in her Paris apartment with her childhood friend, Simone Harouche, during Paris Fashion Week. She initially mistook the intruders—disguised in police uniforms—for her sisters returning home. The situation turned terrifyingly real when she heard the men entering.

Kim described the harrowing moments of being bound with zip ties and having her eyes covered with duct tape. She repeatedly asked, "Are we gonna die?" fearing the robbers intended to rape or kill her. The assailants discovered her $4 million engagement ring and other valuables, confirming the motive was theft.

While Kim was incapacitated, Simone Harouche, who was never discovered by the intruders, tried to contact Kim's sister, Kourtney. Neither knew the local emergency number. Kourtney then rushed to the apartment with sister Kendall and contacted their mother, Kris Jenner, who presumably alerted the authorities.

Seeking Closure and Moving Forward

Despite the pain of Kanye's accusation, Kim found a significant sense of closure by finally testifying and facing the robbers in court. "I’m happy it’s over," she said tearfully. The legal process faced multiple delays due to evidence gathering, the coronavirus pandemic, and even preparations for the 2024 Paris Olympics.

In the end, five people were accused of carrying out the heist, with five others charged as accessories. Kim recently returned to Paris nine years after the incident, accompanied by her mother Kris Jenner and friend Simone Harouche, to put the chapter behind her. "I just want to get this over with. I want to go in, do what I do, tell my story, and that’s it," she stated about her court appearance.

It was noted that at the time of the robbery, Kanye West was not in Paris but was performing in New York. He reportedly cut his show short after learning of the incident, citing a "family emergency."
