Nigerian Man Regrets Praising 2Baba's Marriage, Issues 'Fear Women' Warning
Man Reacts to 2Baba's Marriage Drama, Says 'Fear Women'

A young Nigerian man has publicly expressed regret and changed his stance on the marriage of music icon Innocent '2Baba' Idibia and his wife, Natasha, following the singer's recent arrest in the UK and ongoing marital drama.

From Praise to Regret: A Social Media U-Turn

The individual, identified on the X platform as @AndyjnrUmaru, made a stunning reversal of his previous position. On December 3, 2025, he shared a new post alongside a screenshot of a tweet he had made exactly eight months earlier, on February 12, 2025.

In his original post from February, he had praised 2Baba for choosing to marry Natasha, whom he described as a "high-value, well-qualified woman." He contrasted this with what he called "one yeye girl that thinks a man should do everything just because she is beautiful." He concluded that post by stating, "The world of men is healing."

The New Warning: 'Fear Women' and Stay Out

His latest post, however, struck a completely different tone. Reacting to the confirmed reports of 2Baba's arrest and the public unraveling of the couple's relationship, the man issued a stark warning.

He wrote in Pidgin English: "I no go ever put my mouth for Man & Woman matter again. 2face and Natasha have put me in the mud, them dey laugh me now." He followed this with the blunt advice: "Fear Women guys, fear Women."

He explained that he now felt embarrassed and in an uncomfortable position because of the couple's very public issues, which contradicted his earlier public endorsement of their union.

Netizens React to the Viral Confession

The man's posts quickly went viral, sparking a flood of reactions from other social media users who shared their diverse perspectives on the situation.

One user, @nwaebonyistate, cautioned against envying other people's relationships, stating that many women cover up their husbands' flaws and that it takes endurance to maintain a home.

Another user, @JOOYSTIC, criticized the man's initial post for being demeaning. "Your first post was very demeaning 'one yeye gal'. Annie would have been your sister, would u still call her one yeye gal," the user wrote, referring to 2Baba's first wife, Annie Idibia. The commenter advised that the best approach to marital matters is to pray for the couple, not to castigate anyone.

User @officialemprexx shared a personal connection, noting the pain felt when 2Baba left Annie Idibia, a woman who was with him from the beginning.

@RealpreneurNG questioned the initial assessment of "high value," arguing that value is more about personal character and lifestyle than political position or wealth.

The incident highlights how public figures' personal lives become fodder for social commentary in Nigeria, and how quickly public opinion can shift based on unfolding events. It also serves as a reminder of the complexities of relationships that are often hidden from public view.
