Nigerian streamer Habeeb Hamzat Adelaja, popularly known as Peller, is not letting his groomsmen off the hook ahead of his wedding to Jarvis. In a video filmed while driving, Peller delivered a blunt warning to his groomsmen, calling them out for failing to purchase their asoebi.
Peller criticizes groomsmen for not buying asoebi
In the clip, Peller pointed out that ordinary guests who are not part of the bridal party had already sorted their outfits, while his own groomsmen were expecting to receive the fabric for free. "Even normal people don buy aso ebi finish," he said, visibly unimpressed.
Direct callout to Joe Blaq
Peller did not stop at a general warning. He instructed all groomsmen to book facials and look their best, reminding them that Jarvis's bridesmaids are beautiful and they need to match the energy. He specifically singled out Joe Blaq, telling him to stop taking substances, stay fresh, and avoid stressing himself out before the wedding day.
Reactions from fans
The clip sparked a wave of reactions online. Many found the situation hilarious, while others felt the public call-out went too far. Comments included: "Straight bullet don hit joblaq" and "I could remember my brother's wedding only four groomsmen couldn't afford it and it was 50k not to talk of Peller maybe u should reduce it." Another user wrote: "This is funny, but people won't take it funny but still na abuse ehen he reach x."
Seyi Vodi to sponsor Peller's education
Meanwhile, fashion designer Seyi Vodi promised to sponsor Peller's education after Peller and Jarvis visited him ahead of their wedding to present their aso ebi. Social media users were unimpressed with the gift, suggesting Peller could afford his own education. The couple remains one of the most-followed in Nigeria's content creator space, building excitement around their wedding.
