Nollywood star Regina Daniels has publicly addressed the escalating conflict with her husband, billionaire Senator Ned Nwoko, as reports emerge that he has filed for full custody of their two young sons. The actress broke her silence in a detailed social media statement on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, painting a grim picture of her estrangement from her children and accusing Nwoko of orchestrating a calculated campaign against her.
Allegations of a Smear Campaign and Parental Alienation
In an emotional post on Instagram, the 25-year-old actress detailed a series of actions she claims are designed to isolate her from their sons, Munir and Khalifa. Daniels stated that the last time she spoke to her children was in mid-November. She alleges that Nwoko, 64, dismissed all her domestic staff and nannies, pressuring them into making false statements against her.
"Ned dismissed all my nannies, pressured them into making false statements accusing me of violence and alcohol abuse in front of the children, and has since filed for full custody, despite already having the children in his care," Daniels revealed. She characterized these moves as a strategic effort to build a case for sole custody.
The "Content Creator" Senator and Social Media Warfare
Daniels did not hold back in her criticism of Nwoko's public conduct, particularly his use of social media. She accused him of weaponizing their children for digital clout, describing his frequent posts featuring the boys as a form of tactical media manipulation during their dispute.
"The repeated public exposure of my children reflects a troubling and deliberate pursuit of negative attention by their father," she wrote. In a pointed remark that dismissed his political stature, she added, "It's now safe to call this one-term senator a content creator." Daniels expressed her pain, stating, "People may believe that I am happy, but no mother can be at peace while separated from her children."
A Public Unraveling and a Fight for Her Children
The current custody battle is the latest chapter in a marital dispute that burst into public view on October 18, 2025. A viral video at that time showed Daniels in deep distress, sobbing and alleging domestic violence. She subsequently moved out of their Delta State mansion. Nwoko denied the abuse allegations, instead claiming Daniels struggled with drug and alcohol addiction—a claim she later partially admitted to but framed as a result of his manipulation.
The situation grew more complex with the reported arrest of Regina's brother, Sammy, and her relocation to London for safety. Daniels, who was Nwoko's sixth wife, concluded her statement with a defiant promise to her followers. "It's so crazy if their father thinks I won't come for my children. I will definitely see my kids soon!" she declared, accompanying her words with a heart-wrenching video of a call with her sons.
This public airing of grievances marks a significant and seemingly permanent escalation in the dissolution of a union that began with a lavish wedding in 2019, captivating the Nigerian public with its notable age gap. The fairy tale has now fully descended into a bitter legal and public relations war, with two young children at its center.
