He wrote the Arabic phrase "Astaghfirullah," which translates to "I seek forgiveness from Allah" or "I seek the covering of my sins from Allah." This message came shortly after accusations emerged that he had shared the video in a group chat.

According to earlier reports, a woman who identified herself as Akeem's godmother came forward to defend him. She insisted that the video was not intentionally released to embarrass his wife. In a viral clip, she portrayed Akeem as a responsible individual who genuinely cares for his wife and claimed the clip was shared in good faith, without malicious intent.
