Temi Otedola has disclosed that she and her husband, singer Tosin Ajibade, popularly known as Mr Eazi, discovered she was pregnant during their honeymoon last year. The couple shared the pregnancy announcement in a joint Instagram post on Thursday, May 21, 2026.
Exclusive Interview with PEOPLE
Speaking exclusively to PEOPLE, the 30-year-old actress revealed that they shared the joyful news with loved ones through an ultrasound surprise. "We are beyond excited to start our family and welcome a little one to our cocoon of two. We are feeling extremely blessed and grateful for this big next step!" she said.
"After wrapping up three weddings in 2025—a court wedding in Monaco, a traditional Nigerian wedding in Dubai, and a church wedding in Iceland—we wanted to end the year with a two-month, digital-detoxed honeymoon, travelling across Korea and Japan," she explained. "That is when we found out!"
Sharing the News
Temi noted that sharing the happy news with family and friends has been incredibly special. "It has been the greatest news to share," she said. "With our family and friends living across every continent, we shared with as many of them as we could in real life, giving them our ultrasound printouts as a surprise. I also celebrated my 30th birthday this March in Mallorca—and was able to tell most of my closest friends there."
Baby Names and Traditions
While the couple is keeping the sex of their baby under wraps for now, they have started discussing names. "My husband and I send each other names all the time on WhatsApp," she shared. "We have also asked our parents to give us name ideas, as is Nigerian tradition."
Pregnancy Journey
Temi said she is feeling "stronger and more energized" in recent weeks, but the first trimester was much more challenging. "For the first trimester, I was really feeling the fatigue and morning sickness (well, all day sickness), but as the months progressed, I have been so grateful to feel stronger and more energized," she said.
Above all, the actress has been enjoying the slower moments of pregnancy as "someone who has been moving a million miles a minute for years." "I love how pregnancy forces you to slow down. I have been gradually slowing down my routine, prioritizing my goals, and looking inward," she shared. "It is also a beautiful time to spend with loved ones and celebrate the coming of new life."
