VDM Reveals How Mr Jollof's Bite Saved His Life During Plane Altercation
VDM: Mr Jollof's Bite Saved My Life on Plane

Nigerian activist Martins Vincent Otse, widely known as VeryDarkMan or VDM, has provided shocking new details about his physical confrontation with comedian Mr Jollof aboard a commercial flight, revealing how the comedian biting him might have actually saved his life.

The Tense Midair Confrontation

In a video shared on his Instagram account on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, VDM recounted the dramatic events that unfolded during the flight. The activist explained that he first spotted Mr Jollof at the VIP lounge before boarding the aircraft. Given their existing online feud, VDM immediately anticipated potential trouble between them.

"I knew both of us might not proceed together on the flight," VDM stated, acknowledging the palpable tension from their previous online exchanges.

The situation escalated when VDM confronted the comedian directly, challenging him to act on his previous online threats. "I told him to come and slap me now, since he said so online," VDM recalled. Mr Jollof reportedly responded with "It be like say you dey craze," further fueling the heated exchange.

How the Physical Altercation Unfolded

According to VDM's account, an older woman attempted to intervene and de-escalate the situation by asking him to step back. However, before the situation could be calmed, Mr Jollof had already landed two punches directly to VDM's face.

VDM described his immediate reaction to the attack: "I held his head under my arm and tightened my grip. I wanted to make him faint until he bit me." The activist admitted that he had applied significant pressure during the struggle, intending to render the comedian unconscious.

The turning point came when Mr Jollof bit VDM during the physical struggle. This action, while painful, ultimately prevented the confrontation from escalating further and potentially saved VDM from more severe consequences.

The Unexpected Life-Saving Outcome

VDM expressed surprising gratitude for the biting incident, explaining that it stopped him from taking more extreme actions that could have led to disastrous outcomes. "My enemies would have been mocking me by now. I thank God for Mr Jollof biting me; that could have been the end of the story," the activist revealed.

He further elaborated: "If he didn't bite me, I would have forgotten him there, and things would have been on the south by now." This statement suggests that without the biting incident, VDM might have continued the physical altercation with potentially life-threatening results.

The feud between the two personalities had deeper roots than the public realized. VDM disclosed that Mr Jollof had previously insulted his mother and even exposed his home address online, forcing the activist to relocate for security reasons.

Public Reaction and Aftermath

Social media users reacted strongly to VDM's video explanation. One user named @flexomolola1 advised: "VDM don't fight any physical fight again, u no need am. Ppl don Dey call u leader already. If u fight person & d person drop all ur followers go forget u for jail. & remember ppl want u to fail."

Another commenter @mcmakopolo1 expressed concern about spiritual vulnerabilities: "But on a serious note VDM if u are as spiritual as I think u are then no try any physical fight again cos na heavy loop hole on ur end … and I know u know what am saying. Na setup"

Earlier reports confirmed that both VDM and Mr Jollof were removed from the flight and arrested following the incident. Ossai Success, an aide to the Delta state governor, expressed disappointment in their public behavior and shared updates about their arrest.

Despite having apologized for the brawl, VDM maintained that the biting incident ultimately served as a blessing in disguise, preventing what could have been a much more tragic outcome from their heated confrontation.
