Jordin Sparks Headlines Lagos Artistic Pulse Festival

Global pop sensation and American Idol winner, Jordin Sparks, is set to headline the first-ever Artistic Pulse Festival (APF) in Lagos, Nigeria. This groundbreaking event marks Africa's premier sustainable recycling and creative industry festival.

A Fusion of Creativity and Sustainability

The five-day festival is scheduled to run from December 3 to 7, 2025, at the Remembrance Arcade, Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS) in Lagos. Under the theme "Footprints of Interconnectivity, Growth and Expansion: Creativity, Culture, Commerce and Innovation," the event promises a rich blend of music, fashion, film, food, art, and technology.

Curated by NMO Management and PR, the festival aims to drive innovation, community inclusion, and economic growth by strategically merging creativity with commerce. The program includes trade fairs, symposiums, children's art workshops, film screenings, and cultural exhibitions, all designed to create a multi-dimensional experience that empowers small and medium enterprises (SMEs) across Nigeria and Africa.

Spotlight on Major Events

A key highlight will be the 11th Annual Pan-African Music Fashion Runway (MFR) on Saturday, December 6, at the Naval Dockyard, Victoria Island. This is where Jordin Sparks will deliver a live performance. The prestigious runway show will also feature top Pan-African designers, international runway models, and other live music acts.

Another significant activity is the Golden Break Through (GBT) Auditions, a youth empowerment and talent search program committed to discovering and mentoring two aspiring models for the 2025 runway season.

Driving the Creative Economy Forward

At a media briefing, Dr. Ngozi Omambala, Group Managing Director of NMO Management Ltd and Vice Chair of the NACCIMA Creative Economy Trade Group, emphasized the festival's significance. She stated that APF is more than an event; it is a movement to position Nigeria and Africa as global leaders in sustainable creative innovation.

Ms. Yemisi Ransome-Kuti, Co-founder of Lagos Island Connect, described the festival as an exposé of the soul of Lagos, noting its potential to boost community inclusion, tourism, and environmental responsibility.

Echoing the sentiment, Mr. Gabriel Idahosa, President of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), commended the organizers. He highlighted that promoting Nigerian culture and locally made products is a strategic investment in the nation's economic future, creating jobs and empowering entrepreneurs.

The Artistic Pulse Festival is supported by the Lagos State Ministry of Commerce, Cooperatives, Trade and Investment and NACCIMA Global, solidifying its mission to place Nigeria's creative industries at the heart of sustainable development and global relevance.
