Motown Legend Faces Escalating Legal Battle Over S3xual Misconduct Claims
Motown icon Smokey Robinson is confronting a significant legal challenge as new s3xual battery allegations emerge, this time from a male accuser. The 85-year-old singer's legal representative, Christopher Frost, is vigorously denying all accusations, characterizing them as a coordinated financial shakedown against the music legend.
Attorney Alleges Coordinated Smear Campaign
Christopher Frost, Robinson's attorney, has taken an aggressive stance against what he describes as an "organized, avaricious campaign" targeting the Robinsons. In statements to TMZ, Frost asserted that the accusers are "part of the same group of people who have conspired together against the Robinsons" and are strategically timing their allegations to generate maximum media attention.
The legal team has already filed a countersuit accusing the group of defamation, civil conspiracy, and elder abuse. Frost emphasized that many accusers remain anonymous, and his team has repeatedly requested the court to compel them to provide identifying information and evidence. He claims transparency would reveal their "fabricated claims" and financial motivations.
New Allegations from Male House Employee
The latest legal filing involves a man identified as John Doe, who is seeking to join an existing lawsuit originally filed by four Jane Does. According to TMZ's review of court documents, the male accuser began working at the Robinson's Chatsworth property around 2013, performing cleaning and car detailing duties during early morning hours.
John Doe alleges that Robinson would frequently appear outside wearing only underwear and would openly touch his erect penis within view. The accuser claims he repeatedly told Robinson to "put some clothes on" and rebuffed the behavior. The situation allegedly escalated in 2022 when Robinson reportedly grabbed the man's hand without consent and attempted to force it onto his genitals.
Following this incident, the accuser says he was dismissed from his position, only to be asked to return approximately a year later by Robinson's wife, Frances Gladney Robinson. Upon resuming work, he claims the inappropriate behavior continued. He states he ultimately left the job after discovering others had reported similar experiences.
Growing Number of Accusers Come Forward
Simultaneously, a fifth Jane Doe is seeking to join the lawsuit, alleging that Robinson grabbed her hand on more than 10 occasions and attempted to make her touch his penis while she worked as a housekeeper. This development comes after the initial four women filed suit in May, accusing Robinson of s3xual battery, assault, false imprisonment, and gender-based violence.
When the original lawsuit was filed, Robinson's attorney immediately labeled the claims as a shakedown attempt. Representatives for Robinson and attorneys representing the accusers have not yet responded to requests for comment regarding the most recent filings involving the male accuser and the additional female plaintiff.
The case continues to develop as both sides prepare for what appears to be an extended legal confrontation, with Robinson's team maintaining their position that this constitutes an organized effort to extract money from the elderly music legend through false allegations.
