Burna Boy Ejects Sleeping Couple at Historic Red Rocks Concert
Burna Boy Kicks Out Sleeping Fans at US Show

Global music sensation Burna Boy created both history and controversy during his sold-out debut at the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado, where he became the first Nigerian artist to headline the legendary venue.

Historic Night Turns Controversial

The Grammy-winning artist, fresh from securing two new Grammy nominations, launched his highly anticipated 'No Sign of Weakness Tour' on Monday, November 12, with what should have been a purely celebratory event. However, the historic moment took an unexpected turn when Burna Boy spotted a couple near the front row apparently sleeping during his performance.

The self-proclaimed African Giant, known for his intense stage presence and demanding performance standards, immediately halted his show and refused to continue until the sleepy spectators were removed from the venue.

'Take Her Home, Fast!' - Burna's Fiery Reaction

In footage that quickly went viral across social media platforms, Burna Boy expressed his frustration through a passionate microphone address from the stage. 'We are doing this music because we love you, you understand?' the artist declared, visibly upset by the couple's behavior.

He continued with stronger language, stating 'when I stand up here and I see you over there sleeping with your girl in front of me, it pisses me the f*** off, men. So please take her home, fast, now!! Take her home.'

Burna Boy made it clear he wasn't joking, emphasizing 'I'm not doing any more songs until you take her home' and even swearing on his faith with 'Walahi, I'm not doing another song until you go home.'

Social Media Divided Over Concert Drama

The incident sparked immediate reaction across X (formerly Twitter), TikTok, and Instagram, with fans taking opposing sides on the artist's actions. Supporters praised Burna Boy for maintaining high standards and demanding respect for his artistry, while critics accused him of overreacting to what might have been tired concertgoers.

This isn't the first time Burna Boy has confronted fans during performances. In 2019, he famously refunded a fan's money and asked them to leave his Atlanta concert for displaying what he called 'bad energy' and insufficient enthusiasm.

Despite the mid-show drama, the concert resumed with explosive energy as Burna Boy launched into his global anthem 'Ye,' proving that the African Giant remains committed to delivering powerful performances on his terms.

The 16-city U.S. and Canada tour continues with stops in major cities including Houston, Chicago, Washington D.C., and Toronto, with Burna Boy joining the legacy of music icons like U2, The Beatles, and Stevie Nicks who have graced the Red Rocks stage.
