Nigerian politician Ned Nwoko has publicly responded to shocking allegations made by his wife, actress Regina Daniels, and her family, vehemently denying claims that he sent thugs to assault her. In a dramatic turn of events, Nwoko has labeled the viral video featuring the accusations as a fabricated 'Nollywood script' orchestrated by Regina's siblings.
The 'Nollywood Scenario' Allegation
Nwoko firmly rejected the domestic violence claims, presenting a counter-narrative that shifts the blame onto Regina's family. He alleged that the emotional video, in which Regina is seen alleging violence, was not a genuine cry for help but a staged performance. The video was filmed at his house without his knowledge or presence, according to his account. He described the entire incident as a calculated 'Nollywood scenario' planned and executed by Regina's brothers and sister.
Serious Accusations of Drug Abuse and Family Interference
Delving deeper into his defense, Ned Nwoko made several grave allegations against his wife and her inner circle. He claimed that Regina Daniels has a drug addiction problem and has been receiving treatment for it. He stated that medical professionals advised him to keep her away from individuals who enable her relapse. However, he accused her elder brothers, Lawrence and Sammy, Sammy's girlfriend NK, Regina's sister Destiny, and Nollywood actress Sonia Ogala of forcefully entering his home to supply Regina with drugs.
'They encouraged her addiction and completely frustrated the efforts of the doctors and therapists working with her,' Nwoko claimed. He specifically pointed to Sammy, alleging he would harass Nwoko's staff and security when they tried to prevent Regina from leaving the house.
Financial Support and Pointed Fingers
Ned Nwoko also provided context about his relationship with Regina's family, revealing that he had tried to support them financially. He stated that he set up Sammy with music equipment and a furnished apartment in Abuja, investments he claims were squandered. Furthermore, he implicated Regina's mother, veteran actress Rita Daniels, suggesting she is complicit in her children's alleged behavior. According to Nwoko, both Regina and her mother justify the drug use as part of a 'celebrity lifestyle,' often mentioning two well-known pop stars.
Despite these challenges, Nwoko expressed that he has endured a great deal in his marriage for the sake of their children. He reiterated his belief that both Regina and her brother Sammy need to undergo proper rehabilitation for their alleged drug problems. Notably, his statement did not address the ongoing issue of Sammy's arrest and the reported refusal to grant him access to his family or a lawyer.
The original video and Nwoko's full statement were shared on the popular blog Linda Ikeji's Instagram page on November 9, 2025, sparking widespread discussion and debate across social media platforms in Nigeria.
