Ogogo's Daughter Explains Why Actor Can't Travel Abroad for Cancer

Kira Taiwo, daughter of veteran Nollywood actor Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, has explained why her father cannot travel abroad for cancer treatment despite having a valid Indian visa. Medical professionals have assessed the 66-year-old actor's condition and concluded that he is not fit to fly, as his body is in an extremely fragile and unstable state.

Doctors Advise Against Flying

Responding to questions raised on social media, Kira said that the physical demands of an international flight would be too dangerous for her father. The doctors declared the Stage 4 cancer patient too physically fragile to endure the strain of the journey.

Kira confirmed that a travel visa to India had already been obtained and approved, and that financial support had been secured, notably from Senator Olamilekan Adeola, known as "Yayi." However, she noted that the critical barrier remains the actor's deteriorating health, which doctors say cannot withstand the journey.

Family Seeks Local Oncologist

The family is not seeking cash donations but is urgently looking for an oncologist who can manage Ogogo's care locally in Nigeria. Kira had previously issued an emotional public appeal revealing that local physicians in Nigeria have reached a point where they can no longer safely continue administering chemotherapy to him.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that actor Ogogo's daughter, Kira Taiwo, got Nigerians talking over a post she made online. The Yoruba film star spotted Kira's post on her Instagram page and reacted to it with surprise. Nigerians took to social media to react, as many laughed at the film star, saying he had finally eaten breakfast.
