The National Chairman of the Father Abraham Movement, Chief Ovoke Idogun, has called on all stakeholders in the Warri Federal Constituency to sheathe their swords and embrace peace and dialogue in resolving ongoing differences.
Peace Meeting in Warri
Idogun made the appeal during a peace meeting convened by the Movement in Warri, Delta State. The event brought together youth leaders from the Itsekiri, Ijaw, and Urhobo ethnic nationalities. Speaking against the backdrop of tensions linked to Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) delineation issues in the constituency, Idogun urged the three groups to prioritise unity and mutual understanding over conflict.
Commitment to Peace
The well-attended meeting saw speakers from the three ethnic groups pledge to maintain peace, especially in light of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s personal intervention in the matter. Idogun thanked participants for honoring the invitation and assured them that “better days are ahead for Warri.”
Support for President Tinubu
He also used the opportunity to rally support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, noting that “with the re-election of President Tinubu, Warri Federal Constituency will enjoy greater dividends of development.”
