The Chief Information Officer (CIO) and C-Suite Conference and Awards Africa convener, Abiola Laseinde, has pledged to demonstrate the capacity of African leaders through its seventh edition of the continental recognition platform. According to the award platform, the edition would drive innovation and transformation across industries.
Nominations Open for 2026 Edition
In a statement announcing the entry nomination, it stated that such nomination aimed at honoring excellence in technology and executive leadership across Africa. It hinted that the nominations for the 2026 edition opened on May 1 and will run until June 30, with entries expected from 15 African countries including Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa, Ghana, and Egypt.
The awards platform, which debuted in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic, said it has continued to recognize executives and organizations driving digital transformation and innovation across the continent.
Convener's Vision
Convener of the awards, Abiola Laseinde, described the initiative as a platform owned by the African technology community. According to her, every nomination reflects a story of impact and demonstrates the capacity of African leaders to drive innovation and transformation across industries. She said this year's edition will spotlight leaders and organizations advancing innovation in sectors such as fintech, e-commerce, healthtech, agritech, cleantech, energy, artificial intelligence and data, education, media, telecommunications, and technology services.
Chairman's Remarks
Chairman of the awards, Oluwakayode Adigun, said the initiative has evolved from what began as a bold idea during a period of global uncertainty into one of Africa's respected platforms for recognizing leadership in technology and enterprise. He noted that each edition has recorded increased participation and wider continental reach, reflecting the growth of Africa's digital ecosystem and the emergence of transformative leaders across sectors.
