ADC Challenges Spiritualist's 2027 Election Prediction, Stands Firm Behind Peter Obi

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has firmly rejected a controversial prophecy from a self-styled spiritualist that called upon former Anambra state governor and Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi to abandon his 2027 presidential ambitions. The party's leadership has dismissed these spiritual claims as unfounded and urged supporters to remain steadfast in their political convictions.

Prophet's Spiritual Declaration Sparks Political Controversy

Ramas Asuzu, a prominent spiritual figure based in Nri within Anaocha local government area of Anambra state, made headlines with his divine pronouncement regarding the 2027 general elections. As the Supreme head of Liberation Temple of Absolute God in Nri, Asuzu claimed that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's re-election victory had already been spiritually concluded.

The spiritualist specifically addressed Peter Obi, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, and other potential challengers, urging them to suspend their presidential ambitions until 2031. According to his spiritual revelation, Tinubu would secure an uninterrupted victory in 2027, having demonstrated significant achievements across various economic sectors.

Asuzu emphasized that his message originated from divine consultation rather than political or financial motivations, stating: "Tinubu's victory was revealed to me by the gods of the land after an intense consultation ahead of the 2027 general election." He further claimed that both Peter Obi and Works Minister Senator Dave Umahi would only realize their presidential aspirations in 2031 according to spiritual revelations.

ADC Leadership Delivers Forceful Rebuttal

Comrade Patrick Obianyo, the ADC chairman in Anambra state, delivered a strong counter-response during an exclusive telephone interview. He characterized the prophecy as "a figment of the imagination of the so-called prophet" and advised party faithful and Obi supporters to disregard these spiritual predictions entirely.

"His gods are telling him different things, but our own God is telling us something different," Obianyo declared. "For us in ADC, Peter Obi's supporters, and all those who mean well for Nigeria, we're saying that Peter Obi will win the 2027 presidential election."

The ADC chairman suggested that the prophet might have based his prediction on conventional political analysis rather than genuine spiritual insight, noting: "Asuzu might have looked at certain permutations and concluded that Tinubu may still win. Then, he came out to say that the gods of the land told him that Tinubu would win."

Obianyo concluded with a firm dismissal of the prophecy's significance: "As far as I am concerned, such a prediction does not take anything out of anybody. My advice is that people should ignore that kind of speculation. God has not told us anything besides victory."

ADC Presidential Ticket Competition Intensifies

Meanwhile, the contest for the African Democratic Congress presidential nomination ahead of the 2027 elections continues to gain momentum. Prominent party chieftain Professor Pat Utomi has publicly declared his readiness to lead the nation, asserting that he possesses greater preparedness than President Tinubu, Atiku Abubakar, and Peter Obi.

Utomi highlighted his longstanding commitment to the ADC since 2007 as a distinguishing factor from other potential candidates seeking the party's presidential ticket. This internal party competition adds another layer of complexity to Nigeria's evolving political landscape as the 2027 elections approach.

The intersection of spiritual prophecy and political ambition continues to generate significant discussion within Nigeria's democratic process, with the ADC's firm stance representing a clear rejection of supernatural predictions influencing electoral outcomes.
