Senator Fadahunsi Denies Kill Accord Video, Says AI-Generated

Senator Francis Fadahunsi has described as AI-generated the viral video in which he allegedly asked members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to kill members of the Accord party during the August 15 governorship election in Osun State. The senator, who is a member of the APC, made the denial in an interview with TVC, insisting the video was not real.

AI Video Allegation

According to Fadahunsi, the video circulated by musician Davido and his group was fabricated using artificial intelligence. “What was sent out by Davido and their group is an AI something,” he said on TVC. The incumbent governor, Ademola Adeleke, is running for re-election on the platform of the Accord party, making the alleged call particularly inflammatory.

Yoruba Parable Context

Fadahunsi further explained that he spoke in Yoruba during the original event, and his words were taken out of context by those who do not understand Yoruba parables. “I spoke in Yoruba and many of you did not understand the parables in Yoruba. You people don't know the value of children. When you people die, it is we the parents that are weeping. I am a father. I have my own child. Demola has his own children being covered by security. Anybody who loses his child will know the pain,” he said.

Protest and Violence

The senator also recounted events at the palace of an Oba, where he said he led people to protest. He claimed that three people were lost the previous night, and early in the morning, more were killed and the perpetrators fled into the bush. “Last night we lost three, early this morning, they have killed and ran into the bush. No single arrest was made,” Fadahunsi added. The video of his interview was shared on Instagram by Linda Ikeji's blog, drawing widespread attention.
