Speaking at the event, Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan described the development as an indication of growing public confidence in the PDP's message of inclusion, accountability and grassroots development. She assured the defectors of equal opportunity within the party, stressing that the PDP remains committed to fairness, justice and people-centred leadership.

Her words: “Our party is open to everyone who believes in genuine development, accountability, and inclusive leadership. Together, we will continue to build a stronger and more united political movement that prioritises the welfare and aspirations of our people”.

The defectors pledged loyalty to the PDP and expressed readiness to work for the party's growth in Adavi Local Government Area, as well as to mobilise support for Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan's second-term bid.

In her remarks, the senator urged the new members to remain united and focused on strengthening the party at the grassroots, noting that political success depends on cohesion and sustained engagement with the electorate.
