A prominent support group within the All Progressives Congress (APC) has issued a bold declaration, urging opposition parties to abandon any ambitions of challenging President Bola Tinubu in the Southwest region ahead of the 2027 general elections. The group, known as BTO4PBAT27, described the Southwest as a firmly locked-down fortress for Tinubu, asserting that opposition efforts to gain ground there would be futile.

According to the group, President Tinubu's ongoing reforms and the strong cohesion within the ruling party have created an insurmountable barrier for opposition parties in the region. The Director-General of BTO4PBAT27, Adesuyi Adojutelegan, emphasized that the administration's policies and well-established political infrastructure in the Southwest place the president in a commanding position against any potential challengers.

He pointed to the contributions of key government figures, such as the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, noting that their effective governance and service delivery are helping to solidify public support for President Tinubu.

Adesuyi Adojutelegan firmly dismissed criticisms from opposition parties, insisting that many Nigerians continue to recognize and appreciate the administration's achievements. He stated, "Despite claims by the opposition, Nigerians can see the impact of the president's work. Addressing concerns over rising fuel prices, Adojutelegan attributed the trend to global factors, particularly the ongoing tensions between Iran and the United States, which he said have significantly affected the international oil market. He argued that these external pressures are beyond the administration's direct control and should not be used to undermine Tinubu's electoral prospects.
