Interior Minister Presents Buses to Tinubu Support Groups in Ondo
In a significant move to bolster grassroots support, the Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, has donated 18-seater buses to two prominent support groups for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Ondo State. The presentation, which took place on Monday, was aimed at enhancing the operational capabilities of organisations dedicated to advancing the Renewed Hope Agenda across the state.
Strengthening Grassroots Mobilisation Efforts
Dr. Tunji-Ojo, represented by Asiwaju Olumuyiwa Asagunla, emphasised that the gesture is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen grassroots mobilisation and improve the efficiency of groups championing President Tinubu's policies. The buses were handed over to the Asiwaju Mandate Group (AMG) and the Grassroots Movement for Tinubu (GMT), both of which are actively promoting the achievements of the administration and consolidating support for his leadership beyond 2027.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Tunji-Ojo highlighted the importance of encouraging these groups to sustain their mobilisation efforts, deepen community engagement, and educate the public on the programmes of the Tinubu administration. He praised their dedication, noting that their work is critical to fostering public participation in governance and ensuring the Renewed Hope Agenda reaches every corner of Ondo State.
Receiving the Donations
On behalf of AMG, the Director of Strategy and Communications, Dr. Ayodeji Ologun, accepted the bus, accompanied by members of the executive council. For GMT, the bus was received by its Director-General, Hon. Saka Yusuf, along with Secretary Alhaji Yussuff Badmus and other executives. Both leaders expressed their gratitude to the Minister, stating that the vehicles would significantly enhance their capacity to reach remote communities, organise grassroots events, and further promote President Tinubu's vision and accomplishments throughout the state.
Support from Party Leaders
Also present at the presentation was Engr. Ade Adetimehin, who offered prayers for the safe and productive use of the buses. He commended Dr. Tunji-Ojo for strengthening the progressive family in Ondo State and urged the beneficiary groups to maximise the use of the vehicles in advancing party ideals and the Renewed Hope Agenda. The event was attended by various party leaders, members of the support groups, and other stakeholders, who viewed the initiative as a clear demonstration of growing support for President Tinubu's administration in the region.
The donation underscores the government's commitment to empowering local organisations and ensuring that the Renewed Hope Agenda is effectively communicated and implemented at the grassroots level. This move is expected to facilitate better coordination and outreach, ultimately contributing to the broader goals of the Tinubu administration in Ondo State and beyond.
