Falobi Vows to Re-engineer Osun State for Prosperity

As the Osun State governorship primary election approaches, aspirant Dideolu Falobi has revealed his comprehensive blueprint to transform the state through systematic re-engineering and sustainable development strategies.

The Engineering Approach to Governance

During an exclusive gathering titled "An evening with Dideolu Falobi and friends" organized by the Dideolu Falobi Support Group on 26 November 2025, the gubernatorial hopeful articulated his vision for Osun State. Falobi, an engineer with over three decades of private sector experience, emphasized that his aspiration focuses on "re-engineering Osun State for Peace, unity and sustainable development."

The Iwoye-Ijesa native in Oriade Local Council pledged to apply his engineering mindset to identify systematic problems, design efficient solutions, and build resilient structures that would ensure long-term prosperity for the state.

The Four-Point RRR Agenda

Falobi's development framework is encapsulated in what he calls the RRR agenda: Reconstruction, Revitalisation, Reinforcement and Resourcefulness. He assured citizens of unwavering focus on critical infrastructure development, including:

  • Comprehensive urban renewal programs
  • Quality education accessible to all residents
  • Affordable and accessible healthcare systems

The aspirant also highlighted deliberate economic diversification efforts through specific sectors including agriculture and food security, tourism, culture, and the creative economy to create wealth and opportunities for all citizens.

Engaging the Diaspora for Development

Addressing challenges faced by Nigerians abroad seeking to invest at home, Falobi emphasized that proper guidance and adherence to property acquisition rules would prevent investment losses. He committed to establishing strategic partnerships with Osun indigenes in the diaspora to attract funding for state development.

His specific diaspora engagement initiatives include:

  • Creating Osun Diaspora Bonds and SME support schemes
  • Establishing a dedicated Diaspora office to coordinate investments
  • Facilitating professional exchanges and mentorship programs
  • Mobilizing investments in real estate, agriculture, and healthcare sectors

Falobi's comprehensive approach combines his engineering background with community sector experience to present a unique governance model for Osun State's transformation.
