Nigerian prophet Baba Confirm J has released a prophecy regarding the 2027 presidential election, stating that Peter Obi is the rightful owner of the votes but that President Bola Tinubu could still emerge victorious if the election is rigged.
Prophet Claims Divine Revelation on 2027 Election
In a YouTube video, Baba Confirm J said God revealed to him that Peter Obi, the candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) and former Anambra State governor, holds the legitimate popular support. However, he added a significant caveat: if electoral manipulation occurs, Tinubu could win.
“God said Peter Obi owns the votes. But if Tinubu rigs it, he (Tinubu) will emerge victorious,” the prophet stated.
Atiku’s Chances Dismissed
The cleric also addressed the prospects of Atiku Abubakar, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential flagbearer, dismissing his chances outright. “Atiku is going nowhere. He should go and sit somewhere. I said it in the name of God,” Baba Confirm J declared.
This prophecy positions Obi as the candidate with legitimate support while suggesting that the integrity of the electoral process will determine the final outcome. Nigeria’s political landscape has long seen religious figures comment on elections, and this declaration adds to that tradition.
Key Candidates in the 2027 Race
Nigeria’s general elections are scheduled for January 16, 2027, when voters will elect the president and vice president, as well as members of the Senate and House of Representatives. Governorship and State House of Assembly elections will follow on February 6, 2027. Incumbent President Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) is seeking a second term. Alongside Tinubu, former Vice President Atiku and NDC’s Peter Obi are widely regarded as the leading contenders.
Earlier, Sunday Dare, special adviser to President Tinubu on media and public communication, stated that Tinubu remains the most favoured candidate to win the 2027 election, citing ongoing reforms and his pedigree. In an interview on the Mic ON Podcast, Dare explained that barring a major political upset, the odds favour Tinubu.
